Whole Horse Wellness values and prioritizes the health and safety of our clients and the humans and equines we come into contact with. To help keep everyone safe, we use the following protective measures & procedures:

COVID-19 Protective Measures

When working with equines, we wear face-coverings where required by county, community or facility guidelines/regulations at equine facilities.

When working with human clients, we wear face-coverings where required by county/community guidelines/regulations, and/or homeowner request.  Face-coverings are also worn when providing face-up massage services.

We practice social distancing where possible

We wash or sanitize hands frequently, and when providing human massage, we change sheets between each individual client. Sheets are laundered between each use.

We sanitize equipment between clients, and when providing human massage, provide each individual with their own separate body oil container.

EHV-1/EHM Protective Measures

Due to concern over the recent outbreak of EHV-1 (Equine Herpesvirus Type 1) and EHM (Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy - the neurological disease syndrome caused by EHV-1), Whole Horse Wellness:

Does Not:

  • interact with horses at more than one equine-inhabited location per day when there are active cases in the area. (Emergency exceptions to this measure will be determined on a case-by-case basis)

Does:

  • Wash/sanitize hands between horses when working at a multi-horse facility housing horses belonging to more than one individual

  • Sanitize boots, tools and wash/sanitize hands when leaving an equine-inhabited location

  • Launder clothing after use at an equine-inhabited location
