How Bodyworkers Helps Support Your Horse and Your Veterinary

Think about how many times you have called out your vet for follow up help after they have identified, diagnosed and treated an issue with your horse.

The cost and challenge of getting them out again and again (with fewer and fewer vets available these days) can be so frustrating and costly.

This is where bodyworkers, massage therapists and chiros come in. They have more time, generally, and cost much less than the vet. This does NOT mean you should skip using your vet.

The time, focus and understanding a bodyworker has about your horse is usually greater than the vet only because we come out more often, ideally on a regular basis, and so we see your horse more often. This is not to say we have more knowledge than your vet, by no means! we simply see your horse more often.

We, the bodyworker, can do the detailed work that helps your horse relax, feel better, improve muscle tone, relieve pain and improve and support healing all while keeping your horse's whole body more balanced through stall rest, rehab and more.

It is important that the bodyworker you have works with your vets recommendations and within the scope of what is appropriate for your horse given the diagnosed issue.

All this is to remind you, you have a wonderful and amazing resource at your disposal. It WILL cost you less money and stress than having your vet out to do the extra follow up/rehab work. (unless the follow up/rehab work has to be done by the vet)

So, call your bodyworker and ask them how they can support you and your horse through their treatment and rehab today.
